One of India’s most recognisable national tiger reserves, the park is studded with small covered pavilions, ancient summer palaces and crumbling guard posts that bear mute testimony of Rajput Kingdoms and battles long forgotten. Looming above the park is the Ranthambhore Fort, in itself a major tourist attraction. As well as the tigers, there is a wealth of birdlife in this compact reserve, and many species of mammals to observe. Marsh or “Mugger” crocodiles are found on the lakes.

This tour combines a wealth of different wildlife and cultural experiences. Begin with a visit to one of India’s best kept secrets, the National Chambal Sanctuary, to look for Gharial and Gangetic Dolphin.
Then travel to the heart of India to search for tigers in Bandhavgarh, which has the highest density of tigers in the country.
Add to this a chance to visit the fabulous Taj Mahal and the Bear Rescue Centre in Agra, and this tour is a must for anybody wanting to see a variety of wildlife and culture in this amazing country.

Chitwan National Park is one of Asia’s finest and richest wilslife sanctuaries, lying 120km southwest of Kathmandu. Bardia National Park offers visitors the chance to explore the most undisturbed wilderness area in the Terai lowlands. This itinerary gives you the chance to explore both of these fabulous parks.
Safaris in search of the diverse wildlife of the parks can be taken by elephant, jeep, boat and on foot.
