| Darjeeling - Glenburn Tea Estate |
|
Glenburn is a heavenly little plantation retreat that lies on a hill above the banks of the River Rungeet, high in the Himalayas, overlooked by the mighty Kanchenjunga mountain range. Lounge on the veranda, watching and listening to the variety of colourful birds and watch the distant ice caps turn rosy pink at sunset. Guests are accommodated in one of the two bungalows, each comprising four suites and common areas, gardens, verandas and terraces accessible to all our guests. The four bedrooms have been charmingly decorated, each following a different theme, and are comfortable and spacious, yet cosy. Each of the suites, as their names suggest, offer a unique experience for our guests. Learn how tea is made, cross the hanging bridge into Sikkim, spot birds and butterflies, roam the estate in a 4x4, or sit and sketch the stunning landscapes. Head off to the stilted lodge, set on a private river, for lamplit dinners, stargazing, trout fishing or rafting.
